Janice and Michael Doyle Endowed Research Award in Chemistry

This scholarship was established by Janice and Michael Doyle. Dr. Michael Doyle, a former professor in the Department of Chemistry, recognized the importance of supporting students and encouraging their engagement in research.

Eligibility Criteria:
*Current undergraduate students, enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours per semester), who have completed at least 60 credit hours
*Current graduate students, enrolled full-time (6+ credit hours per semester)
*Major: Biochemistry or Chemistry
*Minimum GPA: 2.0 (undergraduates) or 3.0 (graduate students)

Additional Requirements:
*Three letters of recommendation from UTSA professors, at least two of which must be from faculty members in the Department of Chemistry
*Demonstrated commitment to chemistry research, with lab experience in the chemical sciences, as evidenced in the letters of recommendation
*Recipients must participate in a 10-week summer research program in chemistry, under the mentorship of a professor in the Department of Chemistry. Recipients may not be enrolled in coursework during the summer research period
