Dr. Junda Woo Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Junda Woo Endowed Scholarship criteria:

1. Students must have a minimum overall cumulative 3.0 GPA or greater on a 4.0-point scale.
2. Be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States.
3. Must be enrolled in the BS in Public Health Program at the undergraduate level as Junior or Senior status.
4. Award priority will be given for students graduated from one of the following area school districts: Edgewood ISD, Harlandale ISD, San Antonio ISD, South San Antonio ISD, Southside ISD, Southwest ISD.
5. Must be a full-time student (enrolled in at least 12 semester hours in their coursework) towards their graduation.

In order to be considered for selection, all applicants must submit an essay that addresses the following topics:
     
Provide a brief personal statement that addresses:
(a) Long-term public health career goals/Graduate School,
(b) What are the two major public health challenges you see in San Antonio and how do you envision solving those challenges a public health professional through your degree?

Each part should be clearly labeled within your statement. Total personal statement should be 500-700 words maximum.
