The Endowed Pythagoras Scholarship for Math Teachers

Must be an Undergraduate junior or senior students actively pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics
Must be pursuing teaching certification at the high school level in the College of Education and Human Development
Must be enrolled full-time
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident and a resident of the state of Texas
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Preference will be given to those to pursing a degree to become a Math teacher; second preference to those pursuing degrees to become a math-science teacher
If there are not candidates from the preferences, the Dean or committee may select any Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.
