Modern Languages Various Donors Scholarships
- Open to all language majors or minors who excel in their classwork.
- Must be enrolled full time during the academic year in which the award is received.
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must demonstrate their interest in the study of modern languages and literatures by writing a 500-word essay on why they have chosen language studies.
- Two letters of recommendation from UTSA faculty (preferred, not required).
- May be used for study abroad.
These criteria (minimum enrolled hours, course enrollment criteria and grade point average) may be waived in writing by the Dean on a case-by-case basis for students who, in the opinion of the Chair, are making exemplary contributions to their Department.
