Undergraduate or Graduate

  • Be enrolled full time (12 hours for undergrads and 9 hours for grads) and actively pursuing an BFA or MFA degree with an emphasis in painting
  • Demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of your portfolio or slide portfolio. Clear evidence of technical proficiency and distinctive personal aesthetic in the artworks must be presented.
  • Demonstrate evidence of excellence in previous art courses and potential for future success, as demonstrated by faculty recommendations, portfolio and grades.

(Graduate applicants) Demonstrate evidence of strong preparation for successful graduate study in art as evidenced by excellent grades earned in previous art courses as well as in any documentary records of exhibitions, commissions or other related professional achievements.
(Undergraduate applicants) Have reached upper-division status (at least 60 semester hours)
