The Sam and Ann Barshop Scholarship

• Transfer students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher
• Fall incoming freshmen must be in the top 10% of their high school class or have a minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 24
• Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 hours) and actively pursuing a degree at The University of Texas at San Antonio
• Awards may be renewed for up to a total of four years. To be eligible for renewal, recipients must remain active in the Honors College, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Among equally qualified candidates, preference shall be given to African-American students
