The Scholarship is available to incoming students admitted into the University of Texas at San Antonio and to current undergraduate students actively pursuing a degree at the University.
Applicants must be either incoming freshmen with a minimum 3.0 high school cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale or current students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Incoming applicants must submit a high school transcript along with their scholarship application.
Preference will be given to applicants who reside in San Antonio zip code 78207. Other eligible San Antonio zip codes include 78237, 78255, 78226, 78228, 78201, 78227, 78236 and 78204.
Applicants must submit an essay of at least 300 words containing their academic and career goals and why this scholarship is important to them.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need as determined by the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.
Recipients must be in good academic standing as defined by the University in the academic standing policies.
