The Betty Murray Halff Endowed Scholarship

1. Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis and be in good standing at The University of Texas at San Antonio, and actively pursuing a degree (12 hours per semester for undergraduates and 9 hours per semester for graduates).
2. Applicants must have at least one academic year left to complete at UTSA.
3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
4. Preference shall be given to students demonstrating recent involvement in community service.
5. Applicants shall be members of the UTSA Ambassador program, having at least six months prior service. Should the UTSA Ambassador program change or cease to exist at some point in the future, the scholarship shall be awarded to students participating in whatever organization most resembles the Ambassador’s program at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
6. Recipient must be registered for and complete a full-time course load for the second semester of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. Although the scholarship is for one academic year, recipients are encouraged to reapply the following year.
7. Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) throughout the year for which the scholarship has been awarded.
8. The recipient will be selected in the Spring semester for the coming academic year. Mrs. Betty Murray Halff is to be notified of the recipient.
