FALL 2024 & SPRING 2025 SEMESTER

  • Complete the entire online application on the UTSA Scholarship Hub
  • Recipients must be enrolled Full-Time: Undergraduates a minimum of 12 hours; graduate recipients must be a minimum of 9 credit hours
  • Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university during the awarding period and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. For scholarship renewal/continuation purposes, the GPA requirement may be waived for one regular semester by the Association if, in the opinion of the Director or their designee, it is academically feasible for the student to raise their GPA to the required minimum level by the end of the waived regular semester. Written waiver of approval by the Association shall be submitted to the Scholarship Office.
  • Applicants must show evidence of community service and school involvement in their application.
  • Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating financial need as determined by the UTSA Office of Financial Aid. However, financial need alone will not exclude applicants from this scholarship.
  • The number and value of scholarships may vary according to the availability of funds.
  • Recipient must be available to attend a minimum of one event in which UTSA Alumni Association schools are showcased.
  • Funds from this scholarship will be disbursed equally during the fall and spring semesters and are contingent upon the availability of funds and the recipient successfully maintaining at least all minimum criteria provided herein.
  • Final selection of the recipient(s) will be made by an official UTSA Alumni Association committee.

Requires:

  • Applicants must submit one short essay (500 words max): Why did you select UTSA, and what does being a Roadrunner mean to you? How will this scholarship help you reach your goals?
  • The scholarship requires two letters of recommendation, one of which must be: a.) From a professor, counselor, supervisor, or coach, and b.) It is highly recommended that a student attempts to submit one letter of recommendation from a UTSA Alumnus.
