This scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled on a full-time basis who are actively pursuing a degree at the University.
Recipients must demonstrate financial need, as defined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Preference will be given to those whose families hold membership in the UTSA Family Association.
The number of these scholarships will vary according to the availability of funds.

Essay: Write a brief essay (500 words minimum/1500 words maximum) answering one of the following questions:
UTSA Family Association defines family as the people who care for each other deeply, support one another through challenges, and celebrate together when they succeed. This means that family can be parents and siblings, friends from the neighborhood, or teachers and mentors from school.
