Toyota Teacher Track Scholarship for UTeachSA

This scholarship was created in collaboration between Toyota and UTeachSA to support pre-service teachers. It supports scholarships, stipends, test fee and tuition reimbursement, technology support, and other direct needs.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

• Current Undergraduate
• Major: mathematics or any science
• GPA: cumulative 2.75+ (4.0 scale)
  Preference given to applicants who agree to be placed in one of Toyota’s “backyard districts” for their clinical teaching semester – Somerset ISD, East Central ISD, Harlandale ISD, South San ISD, Southwest ISD, Southside ISD, and Edgewood ISD.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Submit a typed 500-1,000 word essay outlining your interest in this opportunity and potential in pursuing a career in secondary mathematics or science teaching. Include a explanation of what you hope to learn or experience in your clinical teaching semester.
