Jimmy E. Garcia HOPE Scholarship

Fall 2025 – Spring 2026

The Hispanic Organization for Public Employees (HOPE) mission is to inspire leadership development, create goodwill in the community & promote academic excellence through scholarships. To learn more about HOPE, please visit hope-sa.org/.

This scholarship(s) shall be awarded to academically qualified undergraduate students who meet all HOPE Scholarship Criteria:

• Recipients must be academically classified as a *senior *during the award year.
• Minimum GPA of 2.75, and must maintain throughout awarding period.
• Community Service involvement is required, and service must be shown on the application.
• Students must apply through the Scholarship Hub.
• Recipients will be chosen by the UTSA Alumni Association Scholarship Committee.
• Recipients must provide a short biography (including major, academic/career goals) and a headshot.
• Recipients are invited to attend the HOPE Hispanic Heritage Banquet and/or meeting with the donor.
• Recipients agree to share contact information, biography, and headshot with the HOPE Scholarship Committee.
