Westside Scholarship Fund
Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Semester
- The Scholarship is available to incoming students admitted into the University of Texas at San Antonio and to current undergraduate students actively pursuing a degree at the University.
- Applicants must be either incoming freshmen with a minimum 3.0 high school cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale or current students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Incoming applicants must submit a high school transcript along with their scholarship application.
- Preference will be given to applicants who reside in San Antonio zip code 78207. Other eligible San Antonio zip codes include 78237, 78255, 78226, 78228, 78201, 78227, 78236 and 78204.
- Applicants must submit an essay of at least 300 words containing their academic and career goals and why this scholarship is important to them.
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need as determined by the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Recipients must be in good academic standing as defined by the University in the academic standing policies.
