UTSA International Grant
Consideration for this grant is based on demonstration of need and funding availability. Funding for this grant is very limited and will be awarded to the students who exhibit the most financial need on a first-come, first-served basis. Award notifications will be sent to awarded students via their UTSA email accounts after the fall term census date. Please note: The UTSA International Grant is not a competitive scholarship and if awarded will NOT qualify the student to pay in-state tuition rates.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Demonstrate financial need
• Maintain good academic standing and Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by Financial Aid & Scholarships
• Graduate students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Undergraduate students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
• Maintain a valid F1 or J1 Visa
• Must be coded as International by the Admissions Office
• Maintain full time enrollment as of census date for the fall and spring semesters

- Please explain the need for financial assistance. Include any recent change in your financial situation and explain why the total amount of funding necessary for 2023-2024 cannot be obtained. Indicate how you meet your current monthly expenses. If no financial aid is forthcoming, explain how you will meet your financial needs.

Examples may include but are not limited to: Documentation for unusual medical expenses or medical expenses not covered by insurance, evidence of termination of scholarship or stipend, evidence of death of sponsor (death certificate required), letter from sponsor withdrawing support, etc.
