Texas Leadership Research Scholars
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Student Success Division is pleased to announce scholarships available to doctoral students for Cohort 1 of the Texas Leadership Research Scholars Program (TLRS). TLRS is a premier scholarship initiative that grants selected students a scholarship to attend a Texas public research or emerging research university. Beyond financial support, recipients benefit from a peer network, mentoring, and other opportunities to unleash their full potential. The program specifically targets high-achieving students who demonstrate financial need, exhibit leadership within their community, and have a track record of academic success. By creating a holistic program that includes financial awards, research opportunities, mentoring, and cohort learning experiences, the Texas Leadership Research Scholars aim to bridge gaps and empower deserving students. The scholarship amount for each Scholar in Cohort 1 is $17,809.
